Thankful for the Dreadmill, even if it is not my favorite!!!
I cannot figure out distances on treadmills. My treadmill at home tries to keep track using a little light up track, but I never know how accurate it is. The treadmill I have been using here in Wisconsin tells me one thing and my iPhone tells me another. I don't know if either is right, so I have just been gaging things by calories burned(thinking about that now, how the heck does the treadmill know?) and time(I guess this is the most accurate thing I can do on the treadmill!). I ran for 50 minutes. I was bored for about 49 minutes of it. With ten minutes left, I tried to motivate myself by picturing the finishes I have had so far in 5k races. It was nice to remember these fun times from the past year. Too bad those memories only covered about thirty seconds of the ten minutes that were left. I really need to come up with some strategies to deal with the boredom that encompasses treadmill running. |
